The highly-skilled interdisciplinary team has extensive knowledge of and experience in a range of areas from property asset creation through to completion including government interfacing, private relationship networks, public company negotiations, finance, capital investment and business operations.
James Fennell has broad experience managing all aspects of property investment and development including acquisitions and divestments, construction, leasing, finance, structuring, management, re-capitalising, joint ventures, negotiating, and repositioning.
James’s knowledge of the property industry has allowed him to successfully undertake numerous significant projects including reworking property assets to achieve optimum value, co-opting diverse groups, and negotiating public and private interests to reach mutually beneficial arrangements.
Previously a corporate banker both in Australia and overseas, James has extensive experience assessing the feasibility and deliverables of property assets, and more recently, developing repositioning strategies to maximise property value.
During his extensive career in the property industry, James has directed all aspects of property developments including securing development approval, concept design, and managing public objection issues, and has also undertaken a wide-range of successful developments throughout Queensland including:
James recently worked with the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning, as part of the core team for the audit and preparation of the Property Asset Utilisation Review. Providing ongoing strategic advice to the department about property asset disposal options and opportunities.
A highly skilled negotiator, James has successfully managed commercial transactions with major organisations including various Government agencies as well as public entities such as Ergon, Telstra, Energex, Leighton Properties, Australand, Westfield, Stockland, Coles, Lion Nathan, CVC, Customs, Hutchinsons, Cardnos, Woolworths and private entities.
He has also held various leadership positions, acting as both a mentor and motivator, to ensure the successful performance of teams across wide-ranging industries.
Rachel's professional legal career specialised in property, commercial and finance law which she advanced as in-house counsel for property development businesses.
Rachel has taken a more direct role in private property development and construction projects from brief through to execution including managing private property development, organisation rationalisation, asset restructuring, project consultation, project design and project management.
Rachel has extensive experience reworking property assets, developing strategies to maximise property value and managing the process for multiple uses and outcomes.
She has also worked in commercial roles overseeing advertising, management, marketing, branding and corporate governance.
In 2013 Rachel was appointed Non-Executive Director of SunWater Limited, a Queensland Government Owned Corporation which owns and manages water infrastructure assets and provides bulk water supply services throughout Queensland.
